Danielle Walls, Director at Arnold Greenwood Solicitors Limited

Arnold Greenwood Solicitors are delighted to announce that from 1 January 2012 Danielle Walls became a Director.

Danielle returned to Cumbria in 2007 to join Arnold Greenwood bringing with her an enviable wealth of commercial property expertise gained in Manchester at DLA Piper one of the largest law firms in the world. Quality counts in the provision of legal services, especially during these challenging and uncertain times when it has never been so important to have confidence in your own legal interests.

Client service is of equal importance and Danielle was so impressed with the quality of client service at Arnold Greenwood, she sought recognition for the firm in 2010, when Arnold Greenwood Solicitors were shortlisted for a prestigious Law Society Award in practice management - a first for Kendal.

Danielle's particular forte lies in commercial property and landlord and tenant issues; equally as comfortable dealing with multi-million pound transactions and smaller transactions, which are just as important to the people involved. Danielle has a wide range of transactional experience, which is just as well as the South Lakes region demands a diverse range of commercial property expertise. In her experience it really is true that no transaction is too big, too small or too diverse. Danielle enjoys being able to assist a much broader range of Arnold Greenwood clients from individuals, retailers and investors to farmers, developers and leisure operators.

Since marrying Keir in 2005 on the shore of Ullswater, Danielle and Keir continue to enjoy all that Kendal and the Lake District has to offer.

Cancercare Walk

Ten members of our firm walked through torrential rain, thunder and lightening on Saturday 7th May 2011 to raise money for Cancercare in the Kendal Star Walk. We raised £760.00 for Cancercare who help local patients and their families.

We all had a fantastic time despite being soaked to the skin! We are hoping that men will be able to join the walk next year and we can put forward a mixed team

National Law Society Excellence Award 2010

We are thrilled to be shortlisted for a National Law Society Excellence Award 2010. We are one of six legal providers who have been shortlisted for the prestigious Lexcel Award in Practice Management, competing against firms across England and Wales.

The firm had to illustrate to the Judges its strong commitment to the Law Society's recognised standard for practice and risk management, known as Lexcel. We were one of the first firms of Solicitors in Cumbria to become Lexcel Accredited in 2001 and we continue to undergo annual rigorous assessments. Since 2001 a number of initiatives have been completed to improve practice and risk management which have led to us being shortlisted for this award which recognises excellence in practice management and service delivery.

We are delighted to receive this recognition that we have achieved year on year improvement in practice management which has resulted in high levels of client and staff satisfaction.
